Tekla Kobakhidze
I am Tekla Kobakhidze, an artist, I graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in the field of painting, I have participated in many group exhibitions, and also for me, as an artist, a particularly important milestone was the first personal exhibition called "Reflection", which was held at the Fabrika project space (2025). For me, painting is a process of constant search and reflection, I especially love working on figurative compositions, observing people's psychotypes and conveying their faces in a sharp and exaggerated form, I also often use spotty, expressive approaches in my works, as if they were done in one breath, I try to constantly work on myself because I think that the intellectual and emotional development of a person is directly related to the interest and relevance of creativity, the impulses taken from the environment are what constantly keep me in the process of thinking, and the result of all this is reflected in my works.
I am especially passionate about working on figurative compositions, observing human psychology, and conveying facial expressions with intensity and clarity. My works often incorporate gestural, expressive approaches — many pieces are created in a single breath. I strive to explore personal perspectives and emotional development, drawing inspiration from the impulses I receive from my surroundings, current themes, and creative curiosity.
