Alexandra Ivanova
St. Petersburg / Tbilisi
"I paint intuitively, creating semi-abstract canvases where familiar forms dissolve into pure color and personal impressions. Through my paintings, I feel like I am having a dialogue with nature, trying to capture my emotions on canvas. We live in such a fast-paced world, and I would love for my art to be a quiet island for contemplation, a place to pause. If an artwork can bring someone a moment of inner peace, warmth, or a burst of energy - that is a great joy for me."
Alexandra Ivanova is an artist originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, where her early creative influence came from the city’s rich architectural character and visual rhythm. After relocating to Tbilisi, Georgia, her artistic direction evolved, moving away from graphic precision and toward a more intuitive, expressive response to nature, light, and atmosphere.
Her work is deeply inspired by the way light transforms the landscape in an instant, shifting color, mood, and emotion. Using texture and layered color, Alexandra captures fleeting impressions of the natural world — the warmth of sunlight, the quiet presence of nature, and the subtle emotional tone of a moment. Her paintings reflect both sensitivity and spontaneity, balancing structure with freedom.
